Some time ago, one of my most respected photographer acquaintances suggested that I spend some time getting to know my camera's instruction manual, because, let's face it, I just shoot with the most basic settings my camera has. She said it would probably help my pictures look nicer if I do this.

So I did.

Last night I went to Helsinki to see Stratovarius to see what this camera can really do. I was really excited to try out this setting that seems to boast the ability to take a clear shot without the flash, however, the pictures look a bit grainy.

I tried it out, and I was intrigued. The vast majority of my pictures looked much nicer than my usual pictures, which are usually vibrant but blurry. These were clear, but not well defined, and of course, grainy-looking. In the end, I think the nice pictures on my old setting were nicer, but MORE of my pictures were nice with this new setting. Maybe I'll try using both settings now and just change them up.
